Henry Dennard was born in Houston, Texas on October 10, 1956 and is a 43 year resident of Tyler and Smith County, Texas. He is married with five grown children and three grandchildren.

Henry graduated from Bullard High School in 1975 then received an Associate in Arts degree in Business Administration from Tyler Junior College in 1984, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Louisiana Baptist University in 1993, a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University in 1997 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University in 1998.

Henry spent 28 years in banking with the most recent 23 years at Southside Bank in Tyler. He left his position as Senior Vice President in 2008 to begin a financial planning practice.

Henry holds the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) designation from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants as well as the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards. In addition, Henry holds licenses for life and health insurance and securities and investments.

Henry has served in numerous volunteer capacities in the Tyler community including the Tyler Independent School District Board of Trustees and Smith County Minibus Board of Directors. In addition, Henry has served as a leader trainer, small group leader, personal coach and seminar instructor for Crown Financial Ministries equipping adults for financial success since 2003.
